Shri Krishna Janmashtami Vrat (21st - 22nd August,
The eighth day of the Bhadrapad's Krishna Paksha is celebrated at Krishna Janmashtami. This year it is on 21st and 22nd August, 2011

 

Vats Dwadashi (26th August, 2011) In Bhadrapad,
on the day of Krishna Dwadashi this festival is celebrated. On t his day Ladies are worshiping the Cows and Calf. This fast is observed for the good luck for male child. This fast is observed by the mothers of the sun's.

 

Pradosh Vrat (26th August, 2011)
In the month of August Second Pradosh Vrat is falling on 26th August. In Pradosh Vrat, Lord Shiva is worshiped and fast is observed. This fast is obseved completely with no food and before the dusk, Lord Shiva is worshiped with Panchopchar and Shadoshopchar after bathing.

 

Vats Dwadashi (26th August, 2011)
In Bhadrapad, on the day of Krishna Dwadashi this festival is celebrated. On t his day Ladies are worshiping the Cows and Calf. This fast is observed for the good luck for male child. This fast is observed by the mothers of the sun's. In this fast, observers are first making the statues of Cow-Calf and Tiger-Tigress and worshiping these statues.

 

Ganesh Chaturthi (1 September, 2011)
ganesh chaturthi On the day of Ganesha Chaturthi, worshiping and observing fast for Vighnaharta, takes away all troubles of a person. In the year 2011, first Chaturthi will be on Saturday, 22nd January, Magh Masa, Krishna Paksha Chaturthi. On this day, having meal after moon ascends is considered auspicious.
